Just to add a note about things that result in the 4hi and 4lo lights flashing, my 2010 5.7 SR5 did this a couple of times, then the starter failed. I used this brand-new truck for the last 2 days with no problems at all. I get in it this morning and notice the dash is all lit up. The "VSC Off" light blinking, "4LO" light blinking, "Check Engine" light is on and the Slip Indicator light is on ... Pull the actuator off of the back of the t case. You'l see a rod that comes out of the back of the t case that looks like this. Pull it out until you hear it click once and that is 4wd. Pull it out further until you hear the second click and that is 4lo.Noticed as I backed up a little the 4HI flashing went away, may have been because I trying switching in 4WD the night before. So back to the original CEL with VSC and 4LO flashing. Dealer just called and confirmed they were changing the AIP's.
