Everybody is comparing "Commencement" to "Risk of Rain" because "Risk of Rain" is simply an amazing final stage in terms of music, atmosphere, level design and level boss. So they could've easily made a final stage that's just like RoR, heck they could've just ported the level 1:1 and change the boss. But that's exactly what they didn't want to ... Commencement Skips.
