Initially I used the upgrades for the permanent levels but then I found they weren't worth the hassle as they slowed me down in getting things like the autobuyers initially.Theories are almost always more profitable than phi, so invest maximally in theories. After that, enter all your values into the calculator and it will return a sequence of numbers. Those numbers correspond to what level you want on the phi upgrades.
